Unusual small format monograph from Editions du Regard on five important modernist designers who did work for the Air France Company in the mid twentieth century. Jean Prouve, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Gauthier-Delaye designed a number of Air France offices and residences around the world, providing furniture including cabinets, shelving and seating. Raymond Loewy designed the interiors of the first commercial Concorde airplanes in 1976. Andree Putman updated his designs in the 1990's. The Air France Concordes flew until 2003. Lots of color photographs and vintage black & white photos show the interiors and furnishings. Bibliography. 10" high X 7" wide, 159 pages. Heavy book, foreign shipping will be extra. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
