Original full green cloth binding, lettered in gilt. Conestoga wagon in gilt on front cover. Very slightly worn at extremities. Hardbound. Very nice example. George Henry Loskiel (1740-1814) was born in Latvia. In 1802 he became presiding bishop of the northern district of the American province of the Moravian Church. His work as a missionary and pastor to the Native Americans in PA was extremely important. J. Max Hark (1849-1930) was a well know PA Dutch poet who also gained fame as the translator of the 'Chronicon Ephratense' A History of the Community of Seventh Day Baptists at Ephrata, Lancaster County, PA. PA35
