Original publisher's green cloth binding lettered in gilt and decorated in dark green, light green, red and white. Attractive holly leaf design on cover by Margaret Armstrong with her monogram. Spine lettered in gilt and decorated similarly. Cover is clean and color is mildly rubbed. Spine rubbed. Corners bumped. Hardbound. Very Good. Paul Leicester Ford (1865-1902) was an American novelist and biographer, born in Brooklyn. Howard Chandler Christy (1872-1952) was an American artist and illustrator, famous for the 'Christy Girl' -a colorful and illustrious successor to the 'Gibson Girl' -who became the most popular portrait painter of the Jazz Age era. 4 out of 5 of the plates are detached but present and intact.
