About the book:-This account is of an English sailing master called Thomas Bowery who was in the East from 1669 to 1688. This particular work contains his observations from 1669 to 1679. Being a sailor, he visited many places in India and South East Asia. The book is written, according to the way written in those times, in old English spellings. The book is illustrated with 19 plates and 44 illustrations drawn by the author. The areas mentioned are the Coromandel, Golconda, Orissa, Bengal, Patna, and others towns on the Islands of Sumatra and Malaysia.
