Gilt spine lettering a bit faded. Slight dampstaining to endpapers. Very small intendation to front board and first few pages. Very light foxing to first few pages. ; Dark green buckram boards with blindstamped linear decoration and gilt spine lettering. Beautiful steel engraved tissue guarded frontispiece. Rear fold-out "map of the course of the Nile and adjacent countries" with minor edgewear. Else handsome, tight and clean. - Bayard Taylor was a successful travel writer.
