Description
Name/date to front end paper. No other marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked blue cloth boards, minor sunning to spine, slightly dusty page edges and no bumping to corners. 286pp. When France capitulated in 1940, Frenchman Michael Hollard decided to continue the struggle against the Germans by acting as an Allied agent and set up a network of spies. Due to his outstanding success as a leader, he was able to collect information and pass it to our intelligence officers in Switzerland. He infiltrated the German V1 Flying Bomb factory, stole plans and passed them to the RAF thus enabling the British to stop the 5,000 flying bombs which the Germans had intended to drop on London. It might be said, he saved London.
