4to. Three volumes. Original stiff paper wrappers, in slip case; illustrated throguhout in colour and b&w; a little rubbing to slipcase and wrappers, otherwise near fine.
First edition thus. A scarce and important summary of the influential 1930s menswear magazine Apparel Arts. The first volume looks at the clothes themselves, while the scond volume puts fashion into the contect of 190s society, culture and politics. The thirs volume contais a reprint of the Summer 1934 issue of the magazine.
