Description
351pp + plate VG/none First (only) edition. Red editorial cloth with black lettering on front board and spine, slightly rubbed on the spine, negligible tears at head and tail, paper lightly age-yellowed, overall G-to-VG conditions. A very scarce book devoted to the development and deployment of radar for the British Army during WW2. Rarely found for sale as it was published with restricted circulation, like other books in the series The Second World War by the War Office. With several b/w photos unpublished elsewhere and one folding plate at the end South Eastern Coastal Radar Chain. “This book is excellent, describes British work often neglected in accounts of TRE and the like.” (Louis Brown, An Annotated Bibliography of Radar History).
