Volume II with a folding map of the routes of Hunt and Stuart west of the Mississippi to the Pacific, a map referred to by Wheat as “.an important milestone of Western mapping.” 8vo, bound in contemporary polished calf over marbled paper covered boards, sometime rebacked incorporating the original materials and contrasting red and black lettering labels gilt. xiii, 14-285; ix, 10-279 pp. A very good copy with expected age to the binding, the original materials expertly included in the rebacking.
