To a friend about a "passe" for his friend Berlot, likely the writer Louis Berlot-Chappuit, which he was promised but has not yet received, announcing that Berlot will come to collect it himself: "Je n'ai pas reçu la passe que tu m'avais promise. Mon ami M. Berlot le qui elle est destinée vient de ma part te la demander. Tu lui feras grand plaisir à lui, et grand plaisir à moi [.]". - Bertall illustrated Berlot-Chapuit's 1858 work "Fables-Proverbes". - Small tears to lower right edge and upper margin. Slightly toned. Small spot of ink near lower left margin.
