Long and substantial letter to the (unnamed) writer and music publisher Jacques Heugel (1890-1979), with thanks for a touching letter and a photograph of the Heugel, with a rejoinder to Heugel's critique of Baruzi's poems which affected Baruzi deeply, and about a borrowed book of Heugel's "Fantasque Évasion" that Baruzi cannot find. Baruzi notes past ailments of phlebitis and pleurisy and sends best regards from his brother, the historian of religion Jean Baruzi: "Une image de vous-même était là, pour laquelle, chaque fois que je vous voyais ou vous lisais, ma sympathie était sincère et grande. Ce que vous me dîtes à propos de mes poèmes, sur sa méditation métaphysique en sa complexité inévitable et, en regard et plus intimement, l'inaltérable simplicité de pensée et l'enfance du cœur, m'a beaucoup frappé [.]". - Very slight foxing.
