Description
Oblong 8vo (postcard). 1 page. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau: "Hiermit komme ich Ihrem Wunsche gerne nach [.]". - Mainly inspired by his homeland Hesse, Küstner specialized in landscape painting, frequently featuring winterly or thawing weather. He started to exhibit his works to the international public in 1889 at the Munich Glaspalast and was appointed professor in 1927. - Traces of postmarks. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
