Description
Oblong 8vo (postcard). 1 page. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau: "Jeder Stand hat seine Plage, Ohne Ringen giebt's kein Ziel. Darum kämpfe und ertrage, s' Leben ist ein Schicksalsspiel [.]". - A student of the sculptor Fritz Heinemann (1864-1932), Lindner-Latt was a member of the "Verein der Berliner Künstlerinnen" and created funerary monuments in Berlin and Erfurt. - Postmark on verso slightly showing through. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
