Description
Oblong 8vo (postcard). ½ page. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau. - Appointed professor at the Munich Academy of Arts in 1902, Hahn created monumental sculptures and monuments especially influenced by the sculpture of antiquity. His works can be seen throughout cities in Germany and in Chicago. - A few small creases. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
