Description
Halle, Trampe, 1757-1764. Folio-size loose nature printing (36.0 x 21.8 cm). Well preserved nature printing with additional hand-colouring and printed caption. = A rare, early example of nature printing, showing the leaves and flowers of a Chinaberry or Persian lilac. This print in very good condition. Some very occasional light spotting; edges a bit toned; tiny tear in the right margin. Five tiny holes on left hand side. No creases or dents present. Fischer, Zweihundert Jahre Naturselbstdruck, 7; Stafleu and Cowan, 3763.
