Mostly clean pages with some browning and foxing. First three and last four text/picture pages only with old damp marks to upper corners and to edges. No similar marks to end papers which have presumably been relaid in since publication. No added marks or inscriptions. No creasing to very well rubbed marbled covers. Raised bands to spine lightly rubbed. Very tightly bound. Browning to marbled page edges. Maps of counties alphabetically from Shropshire to eight pages for Yorkshire. 1381-1582pp. Alphabetical gazetteer of places in England & Wales from Shepton Mallet to York. Illustrated with engraved plates of architectural works. Undated but a previous owner has pencilled 1841 to end paper.
