Description

Name to front end paper. No other marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, dusty top of page edges and no bumping to corners. Dusty dust jacket not price clipped with very minor marking, sunned spine and rubbing to edges and corners. 110pp. Originally written in the 16th century as another of the book of jokes so popular with Elizabethan readers, this 'rogue novel' tells us accurately of the local setting at the time and its characters, according to Durham documents actually lived. Fold out map of Durham (ante 1611) and fold-out plan of Durham Cathedral both in excellent condition.
