Lipsiae [Leipzig], E. Kummer, 1864-1868. In three volumes. 8vo. Title pages (to the parts and to the entire work), 1,159 pp., one portrait (frontispiece to the third volume), numerous text figures. Original uniform half cloth over grained boards. Spines with gilt line and titles. = Important catalogue of the algae of Europe. the lithographed portrait is of the German botanist, and mycologist Gottlob Ludwig Rabenhorst (1806-1881) himself, with his facsimile autograph. Boards a bit rubbed, bookplate on the front paste-downs, library marks on spine foot, cancelled stamps on the volume's title pages, however not on the work's title pages.
