8vo., First Edition, with a coloured frontispiece, 18 plates on 8, several maps and charts, and a full-page diagram in the text; cloth, gilt back, a near fine copy in unclipped dustwrapper. Albeit fifty years on, a well-written and dramatic account of Hezlet's command of Trenchant, including the sinking of the Japanese cruiser Ashigara (the largest enemy warship sunk by a British submarine in WWII). Includes a roster of the ships' company 1943-45.
