8vo., Best Edition, with a frontispiece, 19 plates, and 9 full-page illustrations, maps and plans in the text; original buckram, gilt back, a near fine copy in unclipped, lightly soiled dustwrapper. Collected by her finest biographer, this outstanding collection of Austen's letters to her beloved sister was first published in two volumes in 1932 with a second, revised, edition (including four extra letters) in a single volume in 1952. This was subsequently re-issued with several additions and amendments in 1959 and again (as here) in 1964. Increasingly difficult to find in this condition. See Gilson G6.
