Prima ediz. di interessante resoconto della esplorazione del capitano Parry (1790-1855) nelle regioni artiche, una delle prime, nessuno si era spinto così al nord. Il secondo viaggio non ebbe successo come il primo ma contiene importanti notizie sulla vita degli esquimesi e loro organizzazione sociale.
