For more than years Ken Price has been heavily invested in the innovation of form and color in ceramic sculpture. His adventurous work has pushed the boundaries of structure and glazing, cementing his reputation as one of the most influential artists working in the medium today. This volume highlights his newest work as well as a retrospective sampling from his long career in sculpture and drawing. Sixty color images of works by the artist are accompanied by and essay by Matthew Higgs and a conversation with fellow Los Angeles artist Vija Celmins that further investigates Price's motivations in the context of the California art community he helped create.
