With many figures, plates and maps, some coloured. First two vols in orig. brown cloth with morocco spines, the remainder in wrappers (these worn but contents very good). Old library - and removal stamps on title pages. = The first french edition of this german classic on World geology and Stratigraphy is not merely a translation. It is considered as being greatly enlarged and most plates and figs. are new and especially drawn for this edition. Includes all except volume III, 4e partie. The Tables générales are present.
