First edition, 4to, 263, [5], viiipp., limited edition, engraved frontis., in two states, 72 full-page plates (mostly tinted), cont. half morocco by Zaehnsdorf, patterned paper boards with the same patterned paper used for the endpapers, corners rubbed. Study of the contemporary french bindings of the late 19th century. Provenance: From the bookbinding reference library of the firm of Zaehnsdorf with their bookplate on the front paste-down.
