Geoffrey Keynes (1887-1982), eminent surgeon, pioneer of blood transfusion, literary scholar and prolific bibliographer. Compiler of several standard works including bibliographies of Austen, Blake, Browne, Donne, Evelyn, Harvey, Sassoon and several others. His biography of William Harvey was awarded the 1966 James Tait Black Memorial Prize.
