This is a very good softcover copy with just light cover wear. Completely clean inside and out. The spine has crease lines, but the binding is firm. Text in Spanish. Massive reference on Maria Izquierdo (1902- 1955) who began developing herself as an artist in Mexico City in the 1920's. She knew and interacted with the famous Mexican artists of the time, such as Diego Rivera, Jose Orozco, David Siquieros, Frida Kahlo and Leonora Carrington. Essays by Fernando Gamboa, JosÈ Pierre, Olivier Debroise, Sylvia Navarrete, and Lourdes Andrade. Limited edition of 1000 copies. Full of color plates, over 150, and also a large section titled 'Cronologia y Registrado de Obra' with smaller black & white images (160 works catalogued here). Almost a catalogue raisonne for this artist. Many vintage black & white photographs of Maria Izquierdo and colleagues, family, etc. Exhibition history.
