Francisco Matto VilarÛ (1911-1995) was a Uruguayan sculptor and painter, who was born in Montevideo. In the late 1930's he began working with Joaquin Torres Garcia, eventually becoming a founding member of the famous workshop: Taller Torres GarcÌa. Text by Anhelo Hernandez. Illustrated in color and black & white with photographs by Alfredo Testoni and Danielle Chappard. 51 plates. Chronology. 14" high X 10" wide, 53 pages. Limited edition of 2500 numbered copies.
