Zweite Ausgabe des erstmals 1788 erschienenen Buches, das für die zweite Ausgabe um 6 Kupferillustrationen von William Blake erweitert wurde. Die "Original Stories" sollten das einzige Kinderbuch der englischen Schriftstellerin und Philosophin bleiben; schon im Jahr darauf erschien ihr Hauptwerk "A Vindication of the Rights of Woman", das als eine der ersten europäischen Schriften des Feminismus angesehen wird. - Kanten und Ecken etwas berieben, die Gelenke außen etwas angeplatzt, die Deckel stellenweise leicht tintenfleckig. Innen durchgehend unbedeutend fleckig, sonst tadellos erhalten.
