In questo secondo volume dedicato al monastero vallombrosano viene illustrato il patrimonio artistico che arricchì la sua chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo nella prima Età moderna, quando l'edificio sacro fu oggetto di interventi decorativi e strutturali che ne fecero un importante episodio del Manierismo fiorentino. Tra gli artisti che vi lavorarono sono da ricordare Alessandro Allori, Giovanni Battista Caccini, Benedetto Veli e Domenico Cresti detto 'il Passignano'. The second volume of the history of the Vallumbrosan Abbey of Passignano collects a series of essays on the artistic development of the church of the Monastery. The book revolves around the Early Modern Age, when the building underwent important decorative and structural changes that made of it an important example of Florentine Mannerism. Among those who worked in Passignano are Alessandro Allori, Giovanni Battista Caccini, Benedetto Veli and Domenico Cresti.
