Description
Vergilbt, sonst sehr guter Zustand / Yellowed, otherwise very good condition. - The authoritative Yale Edition of Poems on Affairs of State, the first edition to appear in over two hundred years, is based on an extensive study of manuscripts and printed books. These satirical poems, which contain detailed information about the personalities and private lives of many public figures of the era, are arranged chronologically, and obscure references are fully annotated. Each of the six volumes will include an Introduction relating the poems in the volumes to the period covered, and each will reproduce illustrations drawn from contemporary pictures and maps. The seventh volume will contain an analytical index, concluding the Yale Edition. George deForest Lord is general editor of the series.
