In issues. 8vo (24.8 x 15.2 cm). xi, xxiv, xii, 353, 20, 20 pp.; four lithographed plates including two that are finely hand-coloured. Without wrappers (not issued), as published. = The ANSP Proceedings were the foremost zoological journal in the U.S.A., being especially strong in ornithology (here with important publications by John Cassin, vertebrate palaeontology, and molluscs. Malacological authors in this early volume include Gabb, and Isaac Lea. The hand-coloured plates shows new birds described by Cassin. Pagination is intricate.
