No marks or inscriptions to contents. No creasing to covers or to spine. Very clean very tight pages with blghtly marked very stiff card boards, gilt-embossed cream buckram spine and rubbing to spine ends, edges and corners. Sixty-five single-sided plates of Raphael's paintings plus descriptions and biography on 40pp. The life and paintings of Raphael Santi or Sanzio, born in Italy in 1483. Undated but one painting described as bought in 1902 and now temporarily hung in the National Gallery.
