8vo., First Edition, with 30 plates on 12, and 4 facsimiles (one double-page and 3 full-page) and 4 full-page maps and plans in the text; original burgundy cloth, gilt back, a very good, bright, clean copy in dustwrapper. Helen Long (nee Vlasto; niece of Dr. Rodocanachi) gives a detailed account of the Rodocanachi house in Marseilles that acted as headquarters of the O'Leary escape line. The story naturally involves most of the luminaries of the period including Airey Neave, Caskie, Nouveau, Garrow and, of course, 'O'Leary' himself. SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. Enser, p.77.
