Two volumes, complete. A beautifully-produced edition of this classic, printed by Didot on very good French laid paper. Complete with all 9 plates by the Johannot Brothers and others after Deveria. Large 8vo. ENTIRELY UNCUT IN THE ORIGINAL BOARDS. Some superficial scratching to boards, sunning to spine, and a little bit of damage to spine ends. Internally, a little spotting. Still, structurally sound and a very good set overall. Carteret, p. 550; Vicaire VII, 388. A noteworthy illustrated book of the Romantic period.
