Stefano Arienti (1961- ) emerged in the 1980's in the wake of the Arte Povera and Conceptual Art movements. He lives and works in Milan. This catalog was prepared to accompany the retrospective exhibition of Arienti's work at the MAXXI- Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo in Rome from November 5, 2004 to February 6, 2005. It then traveled to the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin March 24 to May 8, 2005. Essays by Anna Mattirolo, Angela Vettese, Tiziano Scarpa, Corrado Levi, Stefania Vannini, Emilia Giorgi, Anne Palopoli, and Monica Trombetta. Illustrated mostly in color.
