First edition, 12mo (160 x 105 mm), vi, [7]-90, [2]pp., pages 31-54 with brown staining to upper-outer corner, front inner hinge broken, original publishers green embossed cloth. Sets out a case for an heir to the Abbey and estates after the last descendant of the main branch of the family the 5th and last Baron Leigh of Stoneleigh, who had died insane in 1786 when his titles expired. Provenance: From the library of Josceline Grove, with bookplate and their typed catalogue description pasted to front endpapers.
