8vo., First Edition, with chromolithographed frontispiece, 3 chromolithographed plates (some minor age-soiling at margins; one plate rather more heavily soiled) and 3 maps coloured in blue; handsomely bound in full navy crushed morocco, sides with gilt frame borders, back with raised bands, second and fourth compartments ruled and lettered in gilt, all other compartments tooled with ice-axes in gilt, gilt top, hand-made endpapers, original backstrip gilt mounted on new and separate leaf at front, ribbon marker, a most attractive copy ideal as a gift or for presentation. The author was President of the Alpine Club 1875-77. EXTREMELY SCARCE. Neate *375.
