This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at Japan House in New York from May 4 to 11, 1984. Essay by Peter Grilli. The celebrated young Kabuki actor Bando Tamasaburo made a two week tour of New York, at the Metropolitan Opera for 11 sold out perfomances. Color photography by Kishin Shinoyama.
