Stuttgart, Königliches Naturalien-Kabinet zu Stuttgart, 1899-1913. In ten parts. 8vo (21.8 x 13.9 cm). Text, 18 text figures, and 11 plates. Near uniform quarter cloth over marbled boards. Original ptrinted front wrappers mounted. = A small "library" of uniform bound smaller offprints, which, however, contain important data including the descriptions of new and poorly known species. All written by the German herpetologist and palaeontologist Eberhard Fraas (1862-1915). Published in the series Mitteilungen numbers 9 (Triassic turtles), 13 (Zanclodon), 19 (marine crocodile), 25 (Miocene Rana), 42 (Autosaurus), 63 (Tertiary Rana), 69 (Liassic lizards), 77 (Ichthyosaurus), 79 (do.), and 80 (Triassic turtle). Third Reich stamp on front pastedown, otherwise very good, clean copies.
