4to., Fourth Edition, with coloured frontispiece, illustrated title, and very numerous coloured and monochrome reproductions and facsimiles throughout; green buckram, upper board blocked and lettered in gilt, gilt back, green top, a near fine copy in unclipped dustwrapper. This important work of reference covers the artwork and MSS, together with extensive illustrated appendices on Hilltop and Sawrey, and checklists of the canon. A review by J.H.B. Peel of 'The World of Benjamin Bunny', and a copy of the publisher's prospectus for Linder's 'The Writings of Beatrix Potter' are loosely inserted. This is a revised version, following discoveries of extra artwork by Leslie Linder, of the original edition of 1955. SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
