A very clean very tight copy with very slightly marked boards and no bumping to corners. 100pp. An account of 1685 when the exiled Duke of Monmouth landed at Lyme Regis to depose his uncle, James the Second from the throne. This adventure failed utterly, leading to executions and the judicial abuses of Judge Jeffreys' Bloody Assize.
