8vo., Third Edition; original chocolate cloth, sides with double frame border in blind, gilt back, black endpapers, uncut, top lightly dust-soiled, expertly rebacked with old backstrip laid down, a bright, fresh, attractive copy. With small personal name-stamp on blank preliminaries [only] and 24pp publisher's catalogue bound in at end. Bain's notable sequel to 'The Senses and the Intellect' was first published in 1859. The present edition (the largest and arguably the best) is a heavily revised and extended version of the second edition of 1865. It includes Bain's new Peface written in 1875, and retains those to the previous editions. SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
