Edizione: a handsome grabhorn press limited edition with edward a. wilson's fine illustrations. defoe's masterpiece of realistic narrative fiction is one of the most influential and copied pieces of world literature. for this edition the limited editions club wished to "reclaim from children a classic of literature wich was written by its author for the amusement of adults." to that end they chose the text as first published by william taylor in 1719, adhiring to that editions spelling and grammar and with "the amusing blunders and errors which the author made in the original story included."<br> wilson's bright watercolour illustrations bring this well-loved adventure to life in a bold new way. though best know for his magazine work, wilson illustrated other classic larks, such as treasure island and the man without a country.
