Sm. 8vo., Third Impression, with 100 illustrations in colour and 120 in monochrome, neat contemporary inscription on front paste-down repeated on front free endpaper; original green cloth, upper board and backstrip lettered in dark blue, boards very faintly age-soiled, case with very slight forward lean else a very good, bright, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter faintly age-soiled but with most white areas clean and bright. Observer 2, first published in 1937. The illustrations are taken from Sowerby's 'English Botany'. Scarce in anything like this condition. Marren & Carter, p.147-8.
