With many engravings on steel each tissue-guarded plus woodcuts. Tanning to some end papers and to edges of each engraving. 230pp. The story of how religious persecution forced a group of religious adherents, who came to be known as the Pilgrim Fathers from and around Scrooby in Nottinghamshire, England and some from Hollannd to travel to New England as founders of the state of America.
