Josiah Wedgwood (Burslem, July 12 1730 - Stoke-on-Trent, January 3, 1795) was an English potter. He was also one of the leading exponents of the first industrial revolution. He adopted it in its industry a modern division of labor, clearly distinguishing one from the production design department. Its ceramics and porcelain for inspired, in the forms and decorations, classical antiquity made him acquire a worldwide reputation.
