First edition, 12mo (148 x 92 mm), vi, [7]-109, [1]pp., engraved frontispiece of Nottingham Castle, 3 further engraved plates, engravings within the text, original printed wrappers bound-in, nineteenth-century red half morocco, marbled boards, rubbed, spine lettered in gilt direct. Provenance: Armorial bookplate of Frederick Arthur Wadsworth (1871-1943) Solicitor of Nottingham, historian, antiquarian, Thoroton Society librarian. Not in Dobbin or Brook.
