Sm. folio, ORIGINAL EDITION, with title and series title in red and black, frontispiece in photogravure, 7 plates, a plan and a full-page map in the text, paper brittle as usual; original series binding of decorative red cloth, upper board and backstrip blocked and lettered in gilt, gilt top, uncut, very neatly rebacked with old backstrip laid down, a very good, bright, clean copy. EDITION LIMITED TO 1000 COPIES, THE VAST MAJORITY NO LONGER IN PRIVATE HANDS. Sold from an institution with its cancelled bookplate on front paste-down, very small neat stamp on title and one or two preliminaries only, and inked accession panel on backstrip.
