This is a very good hardcover copy with almost no wear. Completely clean inside and out. Text in Japanese and English. This book is titled 'Commemorative Catalogue: Today's Focus- on Modern Japanese Art'. Catalog designed by Hiromu Hara. Essay by Tamon Miki. The book was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo in the autumn of 1972. The exhibition consisted of 424 works by 148 artists, spanning the early Meiji period to the present, and included oil paintings, nihonga, sculpture and ceramics, glass and weaving, etc. All works illustrated in black & white images in the checklist. Plus many color plates and full-page black & white reproductions of the art. List of works in English. Bibliography. Superb survey of modern Japanese art. 10" square, 250 pages.
