Description
3 Vols., folio (370 x 275mm), 96 mounted plates, some light foxing, gutter percha perished and contents loose in each volume, orig. cloth, gilt, head and foot of spines a little frayed. This 3 Volume group is a new edition of Turner's work, first published in 1838, reproducing the views in ìpermanent photography,î each accompanied by descriptive text. The 3 Volumes are individually titled "Coast Scenery," "Landscapes," and "Castles and Abbeys." 96 plates are mounted to card with captions. Provenance: Bookplate of Rowland V. and Elizabeth Barker.
